Explosion in market kills 1, injures 10 in Guyana

imagePolice are trying to determine what caused the explosion at the busy market that has claimed the life of one man.
GEORGETOWN, Guyana, – One man is dead and at least 10 other people injured following an explosion at a busy market in Guyana this morning.
Initial reports indicate that a grenade thrown into the crowd at Stabroek Market caused the blast.
The explosion took place around 10:30 am.
Members of the security forces, including bomb experts, rushed to the scene as the injured were rushed to hospital.
