Seh Sup'm About Charity



Rotaract Club of Kgn hosts benefit event with poetry and live music

Root Cause, along with The Rotaract Club of Kingston, will host a Seh Sup'm Poetry and Live Music benefit charity show on Sunday at the Village Blues Bar at 7 p.m. Proceeds of the event will go towards the Rotaract's various youth outreach programmes and activities geared towards youth-development support.

The Rotaract Club of Kingston, which is the youth arm of the Rotary Club, regularly partners with various promoters and events like Seh Sup'm Poetry and Live Music as a regular part of fund-raising exercises.
This Sunday's instalment of Seh Sup'm will see one of its strongest line-ups of performers to hit the stage. That will come in combination with an open-mic segment.

Artiste line-up



Jamaica's favourite pop diva will deliver an acoustic set in her first performance at Seh Sup'm Poetry and Live Music.
Journalist and author brings his riveting poetry with his unique and insightful perspective of not only the Jamaican and world socio-political landscape, but also his candid themes of family and life.

Known as a comedian who features on the popular Ity and Fancy Cat show, he mixes all aspects of his talents, which include poetry, music and comedy on all the stages he performs. A passionate poet, his themes focus on the Jamaican introspective infused with his distinctive style of delivery.


Host and front person of the Poetry Society of Jamaica's monthly fellowship, she leads the society's renewed vibrancy with her charm and thought-provoking poetry.


Poet, youth activist and educator, a consistently popular poet since his days as a student at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus, and former host of Seh Sup'm Poetry Competition. With his dub poetry chanting style evolving into one of the leading voices on the genre, he prepares to launch his first book of poetry with an accompanying CD.


Red Bull Academy graduate and the signature sound maker for Seh Sup'm Poetry, will provide the background music in-between performances, using his unique mixing styles of afrocentric, neo-soul, hip-hop and world beat jazz infusions.
