Stoosh! wellness retreat this weekend in Ocho Rios

IMAGE consultant Patrice DaCosta was yesterday tying up minor details for the staging this weekend of her Stoosh! 2011 Rejuvenation and Wellness Retreat in Ocho Rios.
DaCosta, a Jamaican living in the United States who founded the image consultancy Stoosh!, arrived in the island on Monday full of anticipation for the retreat which, she said, is designed to "encourage women to take care of themselves amidst the challenging times".

"People are so stressed now, and as an image consultant I want to empower women to be better persons and to enjoy their lives and to be able to take care of themselves," DaCosta told the Observer in an interview yesterday.

The retreat, scheduled to begin on Friday at Terra Nova Villa in Mammee Bay, will offer participants advice on wardrobe and styling, money management, and one-on-one nutrition and skin care consultation with nutritionist Patricia Thompson.

It will also offer reflexology, yoga, a guide to healthy foods and massages courtesy of Veronique's Day Spa in Turtle Towers, Ocho Rios.
DaCosta said that part proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success, a non-profit organisation that provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development to low-income women in over 75 cities worldwide.
