The date for the bail hearing was set Monday morning, July 25, when Mr. Powell appeared in court.
Prosecutors told the court they have submitted some statements to the defence and they will serve additional material on Friday.
This after defence attorneys complained that they had not been served with all the material in the matter.
Powell, 50, is charged with murder, shooting with intent, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and failure to produce a firearm for inspection.
Khajeel was shot dead by the driver of a BMW X6 sports utility vehicle after the taxi in which he was travelling hit the motor vehicle.
Mr. Powell, who was identified as the driver, left the island but was arrested after he returned to the country and surrendered to the police.
